- The GIMP is an image editing applilcation a la Photoshop for Windows or Mac.
- Create PDF documents for free using CutePDF Writer...or use Pdf995.
- Don't have KidPix? Use TuxPaint.
- Use TuxMath for math review.
- Anyone can use OpenOffice to create MS Office compatible documents.
- Stop sending huge pictures to Grandma. Use Photo Gadget to resize them first.
- Jarte is another free word processor...something to thinkn about for younger students or for students to load at home.

- Use Writeboard for peer editing, completing homework, committee projects, etc. Remc11 Writeboard
- Or you could use Writely which allows you to upload and save documents in MS Word format...or just edit them online by yourself or with your team.
- Share spreadsheet data with another class using Jotspot Tracker.
- Wizlite lets you highlight text on a web page for yourself or students.
- Record assignments, read essays, or all online with Odeo.

- BCISD just received a USDA RUS DLT Grant for 35 new Polycoms in selected elementary and middle school buildings in Berrien and Cass counties.
